This Cookie Policy describes how Choralyx uses cookies and similar technologies when you visit www.choralyx.com.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that websites save on your device when you visit them. They can serve different purposes: keeping a login session active, storing preferences, or collecting usage statistics in aggregate form.
Categories of cookies we use
1. Necessary technical cookies
Essential for the platform to function (authentication, security, storing your cookie preferences). They do not require your consent under art. 122 of Italian Legislative Decree 196/2003 and the Italian Data Protection Authority guidelines. They are always active.
2. Analytics (statistical) cookies
We use Google Analytics only on public pages to understand their use in aggregate form and improve them. These cookies are set ONLY after you give consent via the banner. You can refuse or withdraw consent at any time, with no impact on browsing. This processing is based on your consent.
3. Marketing (advertising) cookies
With your consent, we use the Meta Pixel and Google Ads only on public pages to measure the effectiveness of our advertising campaigns, for retargeting and to build similar audiences. These cookies (e.g. _fbp, _fbc) are set ONLY after you enable the Marketing category in the banner and involve sending data to Meta and Google. You can refuse or withdraw consent at any time. This processing is based on your consent.
4. External content
With your consent, the event pages of the choirs show a map loaded from Google Maps. Loading it sends your IP address to Google, which may set its own cookies (for example NID). The map loads only after you enable the External content category in the banner, or press "Always load maps" on a map; until then a placeholder is shown and nothing is sent to Google. You can withdraw consent at any time from the cookie preferences.

Analytics cookies (e.g. _ga, _ga_*) are set exclusively after you accept analytics cookies in the banner. Until you give consent, Google Analytics stays disabled via Google Consent Mode: no analytics cookie is written and the IP address is anonymized.
Measurement without cookies
Alongside Google Analytics — which only runs if you accept it — we keep our own visit count. It does not use cookies and does not need your consent, because it is built so that it cannot identify you: it qualifies as audience measurement under the Italian DPA's cookie guidelines and the CNIL criteria. We record the page visited, the language, the site you arrived from, the device type and the browser family.
Nothing is stored on your device: no cookie, no local storage.
Visits are counted with a code recalculated every day, so it cannot follow you from one day to the next.
The data stays on our servers. Nothing is sent to third parties.
We only read aggregate totals, and they are deleted after twelve months.
Consent management
On your first visit we show a banner to accept, refuse or customize analytics cookies. Your choice is stored and shown again after 6 months, or sooner if you decide to change it. You can change or withdraw consent at any time via .
Transfers to third countries
Analytics cookies are managed by Google (Google Ireland Ltd. / Google LLC) and, with your marketing consent, advertising cookies are managed by Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd. / Meta Platforms, Inc.; both may process data in the United States. Transfers are based on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and the Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission. For analytics we have also enabled IP address anonymization. Marketing data is sent to Meta and Google only with your consent. With your consent to external content, the maps on event pages are loaded from Google Maps (Google Ireland Ltd. / Google LLC), on the same legal basis.

Selling your data
We never sell your personal data to third parties.
Tracking without consent
No analytics or marketing cookie is set, and no external content is loaded, until you opt in via the banner: everything is denied by default (Google Consent Mode and Meta consent). Only the necessary technical cookies are always active.
How to manage cookies from your browser
Besides the banner, you can manage or delete cookies already installed through your browser settings. Be aware that disabling technical cookies may compromise the site's proper functioning.
